The leading experts of the process and chemical engineering industry got together in Frankfurt, Germany as every 3 years at the industries leading trade fair ACHEMA from June 11th – 16th 2018. This years focus topic were not the least on flexible production, digitalisation and optimized energy input and were generally well received by the visitors.
At the booth of Siekerkotte in hall 6.1 visitors from around the world were able to get an excellent overview on the latest trends in electric heating technology. Hygenic dead spot free heaters for the production process of pharma or food as well as solutions that are able to manage an adequate heat transfer despite a high surface load on heating elements were among others part of the intensive technical discussion. Two new developments by SIEKERKOTTE received especially a high interest and attention:
- Electric immersion heater with integrated profibus connection in the terminal box. This is an excellent attempt to extend connectivity and digitalisation as part of Industry 4.0 to the device level.
- The compact Siekerkotte flow heater series SDEP made of die-cast aluminium and optionally integrated pump caused a furore among the trade public. Thanks to its modular design and easy power expansion, users are provided with an inexpensive and stable solution. The SDEP heater is Teflon-coated inside and is therefore well suited for problematic media.
Overall, the number of visitors to the SIEKERKOTTE stand remained at the high level of the last ACHEMA. As the quality of contacts and generated inquiries were also improved, the fair was a complete success for the company despite an officially reported overall decline in visitors.
SIEKERKOTTE thanks all visitors and is already looking forward to ACHEMA 2021!
