Different classes of steam generators are used in versatile industry applications. The steam is generated either indirectly by heat exchangers or directly by means of electric heaters. Due to lack of space, there is usually a need for heating systems which have to generate sufficient heat energy on the smallest possible space. Since increasing heat output results in increasing thermal load on the heater surface, the overall implementation is often a problem. In electric heat technology, we talk about “excessive surface load”, which is stated in “watt/cm2”. If this surface load is “exhausted”, a reduced service life of the heater is the inevitable result.
To eventually be able to compensate the so-called surface load, Siekerkotte uses a stainless steel wire which is wrapped around the heater and thus enlarges the surface loaded. The diameter is specified depending on the application and ensures a longer service life of the heater and the entire installation. This system has been tried and tested for years and efficiently helps the user reduce the maintenance costs for the installation.
We have been successfully engaged in electric heat technology for more than 25 years and have internationally developed and manufactured reference solutions for the chemical, mechanical and plant engineering industry. We specify and manufacture our products according to international standards (DGRL 97/23/EC, AD2000, EN 13455, ASME) and, if required, with approval by TÜV/GL/DNV etc.
