Flexible heating with resistance-winding silicone rubber heating elements

Silicone rubber heating elements are also produced as single pieces offering a large selection of designs and shapes.

The heating elements are produced in compliance with the low voltage directive, and the EMC directives of the EU are fulfilled.

For the production of the heating elements, resistance wires are placed at regular intervals between two silicone rubber bars, which are reinforced with glass fabric to increase the mechanical load factor of the assembly.

An even winding of the resistance wire ensures a homogenous heat distribution across the entire work area.

The continuous operating temperature should not exceed 200°C.

The thin, light-weight silicon rubber mat and the mass with a thermically low effect facilitates a fast and prompt temperature control.

Heating mats are manufactured with a broader range of dimensions and shapes with bores and/or recesses which do not interfere with the even heat distribution.

Built-in temperature limiters and/or temperature sensors can be fitted on request.

If desired the heating mats can be supplied with self-adhesive acrylic backs fitted to facilitate mounting and positioning them.

Another mounting option for fast assembly is provided by lugs, belts, hooks or Velcro fasteners.
